- Travelled extensively within India to participate in various National literary and educational conferences.
- Visited five republics of U.S.S.R in 1986 in a cultural exchange programme sponsored by ISCUS.
- Had represented India as an Indian Writer in the India fare in Australia. “ India To-day 94” sponsored by Indian Council of Cultural Relations, New Delhi in 1994. She gave readings andtalks on Indian literature and languages in several Universities of Australia.
- She visited USA, U.K., and France on speaking tours.
- She represented India as an Indian writer in the India Festival in Bangladesh in 1996.
- Attended 7th International Interdisciplinary Congress on Women in University of Tromso, Norway in June 1999 as an Indian delegate.
- Visited Norway, Sweden, Finland & Denmark on speaking tours in 1999.
- Participated in a panel discussion in 2nd European Conference on Higher Education held in Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH in Zurich, Switzerland, 2000 (Sept.12-15).
- Visited Germany, France, UK, Holland & Belgium on speaking tours in 2000.
- Presented paper at World Conference on Women Studies in Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda during August, 2002.
- Attended conference on Indian Literature in New York, USA in 2003 organized by Bharatiya Bidya Bhawan in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.
- Visited China, in a ten member Indian Writer’s delegation to interact with Chinese writers in 2004.
- Read her story in University of Incarnate World, San Antonio, USA, 2006. Represented Indian Literature in Frankfurt Book fair and gave readings in Berlin, Stuttgart, Trier, and other places in 2006.
- Participated in SAARC Fiction Writers Conference in Katmandu, Nepal, 2006.
- Visited Japan on the occasion of Indo-Japanese Friendship Golden Jubilee Year and presented paper and read stories in Department of Foreign Study of Osaka and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, 2007.
